Easily Converts From Full-Length To Stubby Configuration

Deeply knurled vertical forend grip provides a comfortable, secure grasp for outstanding recoil control and ultra-fast pointability. Modular design lets you choose a secure, full-palm configuration, or by unscrewing and removing the center section, a low-profile “stubby” grip. Full-length, spring-loaded locking bar, plus front and rear rail lugs ensure a rock-solid installation on any Picatinny rail. Flush-fit crossbolt to minimize risk of snagging on other gear. Rugged, all-aluminum construction with waterproof O-ring seals to keep contents of the roomy internal storage compartment dry.

SPECS: Aluminum, hardcoat anodized, Black. 4½" (11.43 cm) long, 3" (7.62 cm) long in stubby configuration, 1¼" (3.2 cm) O.D. 5.9 oz. (167g) weight. Fits Picatinny rail systems.

Excellent design features (30.12.2012)

One of the best attribute to this combat style grip is its 3-piece design feature. Solid aluminium construction with one sturdy assembly screw. Machining and knurling is excellent as well as fit of the three pieces that forms the grip. The design allows you to have a standard length as well as a stubby "shorty" that I personally prefer all in one affordable price tag. The built-in storage compartment is also a plus. Perfect match for FDE furniture. Higly recommended.

Best VFG ever! (27.05.2010)

Another flawless product by Troy at a reasonable price. The gnarling is very deep and really grabs your palm, even with perspiration or rain. It's precision machined and very sturdy on the rail - rock solid, zero wobble. Installs easily and securely with just a flat-head. Lightweight as well. I replaced my TangoDown with this bad boy and have no regrets.

VERY solid VG. Good grip that will not slip. A bit rough on lady shooters hands(my girlfriend says so at least) but fine for any man that has man hands. Just a bit heavier than my old Tango Down but MUCH stronger. It's cool being able to make it a shorty too. The rubber seals ensure that it will never unscrew itself. Highly recommended.

Great vertical grip, its rock soild, grips your hand well, and can be made into a "shorty" style grip if you preffer. Nice soild aluminum body and cap and extension piece are sealed with an o-ring.

Man, this grip gets the job done! I've had lighter grips installed, but none anywhere near as sturdy or functional as this. The interior can be used as battery storage if necessary... the O-rings keep out moister. Adjustable. It's got everything that I was looking for.

Made for REAL use (29.01.2011)

I have a great appreciation for Troy Quality. They seem to have it where it counts. After using inferior plastics, I will never leave without the knurled piece of awesomeness. The ability to have a long or short fore grip is great. Different tactical situations call for a different approach. This offers it.
Oh, and it also keeps my spare batteries DRY! None of that misleading "guaranteed" nonsense.
This is a MUST HAVE for anyone and Everyone!

After using several other vertical grips I found this one to be the stongest and most durable one out there! It's adaptability from short to long is a definite plus. It locks up solid and the flush clamp screw will not snag on clothing or equipment! The grip texture is perfect, keeps hands from sliding off during rapid firing.

Simple and effective (03.10.2011)

There are a myriad of vertical grips for railed firearms on the market, ranging from cheap, flimsy plastic, to expensive machine aluminum. The Troy grip feels like an $80+ vertical grip, but is much more affordable.

I think the Troy grip is currently the best option out there, because it offers two different lengths (3 lengths if you don't use the end cap), it is machined from aluminum, and the texture is just right, providing enough grip without being abrasive.

Excellent grip. The modular design accommodates shooters with large and small hands, as well as lets you decide whether you want to fully grip the vfg or utilize the thumb break method like you do with the magpul vfg. The modular combat grip is a very solid yet comfortable piece. Has plenty of room inside the waterproof storage compartment to store batteries.

This is an extremely solid VG. That fact that it is of excellent construction, and easily adjustable for all hand sizes makes this grip one of the best options out there. For the price you won't find one better, even more expensive ones don't come close to the quality of this Troy Industries grip.
