After reading the reviews of several Handguard removal tools, I decided to get this one. It costs a little more, but it is well worth it. It will not bend and the rubber cushions will not tear. I've used it on my Carbine and Rifle and it makes removing/replacing the Handguards a snap. I highly recommend this tool.

Being issued an AR15 for duty use, I wanted a tool to remove the hand guards to make weapon maintenance a little easier. I could not have found a better product. I just removed some handguards on a rifle with this tool. This thing works great!

I had to have some help from a friend when I put these handguards on the first time. I can't believe how easy this tool made it to take them off. I put the barrel in a block in my bench vise to hold the rifle and then one hand on the tool and pulled the handguard halves away with my other hand. Couldn't have been nicer.

Almost forgot to mention to top it off this was on a flat slip ring. Not one of the triangular Delta rings.

I've been an armorer for a lot of years and removed handguards the old way since I served in the military. I wish I had this tool 30 years ago. Holds up to daily use and doesn't scratch at all. Buy it.

It does cost a bit more - but the tool is easy to work with. It will require that the lower receiver be attached. It makes taking off the hadguards a snap.

Like Apple products this tool just works. Worked fine removing two sets of rifle length and one carbine length hand guard set from pre-ban rifles. Beats the heck out of using three hands to do the job.

I was going to buy the cheaper tool like this one that Brownell's carries, but based on its reviews, I decided to pay a few dollars more. After using it several times, I'm glad I bought it! All of the contact surfaces are covered so it will not mar or otherwise damage the rifle or its components. If you're going to get one; get this one. You won't be sorry.

I was in the market for a handguard removal tool and read numerous reviews about others which left marks and were difficult to use. This model had good reviews and I decided to buy. I am very happy that I did.

This tool is made of strong materials that won't bend or give. There is a rubber coating on the handles to prevent any marking of your delta ring. The rubber appears to be automotive tubing (indicated by the goodyear label). This is a remarkably simple design that is very efficient. I'd recommend this to anyone with an AR, who may need to remove the handguard at some point.

It's a little pricey, but compared to the lower priced option, it's a bargain. Simple, rugged design that is "renewable" if you ever manage to wear out the heavy duty fuel line that serves as the "rubber coating" on the arms. I doubt anyone other than a full-time AR armorer could ever wear this unit out...Unlike the less expensive option.

This Tool is by far the best one I have used to remove hand guards. Purchased a second back up one just incase they become hard to get. The rods are covered by a very thick and tough automotive fuel line reinforced with nylon / kevlar braiding so there are no worries as to if it will hold up to most solvents, chemicals, or just plain hard use. The D-Ring is safe from marring thanks to this very simple and resourceful idea. The part that fits inside the magwell is covered in what appears to be electric heat shrink tube, so if it ever does wear out its a very easy and inexpensive fix. KISS is perfectly applied to this tool and gets my praise. You won't be disappointed

again right on the money I have used this too clean and service a few weapons already works great even on the ones where someone used fishing line to clean out the delta ring..

I bought a cheaper tool elsewhere and it was a complete disaster. You get what you pay for and this tool IS THE BEST!
