Great looking barrel. Fit perfectly with Magpul X-22 stock. The barrel is .920 and the muzzle break I used that matched was Tactical Solutions 1022 CMP-02.



Heated up the reciever with a hair dryer and installation was a breeze.

I think that I've shot this barrel enough to give a good review on it. This barrel was bought for my 10/22 build. The barrel was easy to install into the reciver, right after I got it installed I took it to the range. The first few shots at 15 yards were one ragged hole. Then I moved out to 50 yards to see what it could do. So far CCI AR tactical 40gr has given me the best groups, along with eley target ammo (they shoot about 1/2 to 3/8 of an inch) moving out to 100 yards with the CCI AR tactical it gave me the best group of 3/4 of an inch. The eley target gave me a group of about 7/8 inch groups. This is with a stock trigger and free floated barrel. In short this barrel is awesome, you can use it for competitions and varmiting alike.

Bought this to breathe new life into an old 10/22. Added this barrel, a Hogue stock, Hornet Custom trigger and an optic. The gun can how host my TacSol Axiom and shoots like a dream. The barrel is flawless in terms of machining and installed in about 10 minutes. I considered the TaxSol X-Ring but at twice the $ I couldn't justify it.



My only complaint: It's heavy. At 2.8# this doesn't make for a light little .22 that you'd be happy toting around all day. If that's your goal then for sure spring for the 16oz TacSol barrel. But if you are target shooting or doing some stationary hunting this barrel should serve you well, and for the price it's an excellent value. Sell your old barrel and stock on fleabay and you'll almost have the cost of this barrel back in your pocket.

I purchased the ER Shaw stainless barrel and installed it on a 10/22 that I've owned for about 5 years. I was very concerned that removing and installing the barrels would be really difficult. I put the new barrel in the freezer for a week and let it contract as much as possible.



Removing the old barrel was surprisingly easy. I had to tap on the receiver with a rubber mallet but it slowly separated. It took me about 5 minutes to get it off.



Installing the frozen barrel was even easier as it just slipped right in. I was worried that it would be hard to align the slot on the barrel but the way the system works that is not really an issue as the clamps will make sure it is in the right spot. Just tighten the clamp slowly and readjust to align every so often.



I also replaced the original stock with a Hogue rubber stock for a bull barrel and it worked great too.



I did a few test shots and everything worked great, all shells ejected nicely



One last thing, you don't need the barrel band on from the original stock - so don't worry about that.



I am always nervous about buying things on the internet because I can't touch and feel them, but this time it worked great. The gun looks great and is shooting great. My first three test shots a 20 yards were in a circle the size of a quarter and I had not sighted the gun in yet.



Overall, I am really impressed and pleased.

10 rounds cci standard ammo through the same hole , about .5 inches at 50 yards .... all day long with this barrel . all day !

Shipped exactly like they stated and was here in 5 days. I already had the receiver stripped , took 5 minutes to install. Threw a scope on it shot a two shot penny sized group at 20 yards. Topped of with a compensator, made it look awesome and fit totally flush on this barrel. So far so good, can't wait to shoot it at 100 yards and see what happens.

This is my second ER Shaw 10/22 barrel and have not been disappointed . Quality is excellent , accuracy is very good not as good as my KIDD barrels but close for less than half there cost . I used this one to replace my 77/22 factory barrel.

Set the shoulder back, added another extractor slot and recut clamping dovetail and you have a VERY accurate 77/22. For 30% of what some manufactures want for there products.

It was pretty easy to install, took 15 minutes.



Took it to the range and zeroed it at 25 yards, here are the results:

- Key holed each time.

- Barrel fires at sub-MOA between 25-100 yards consistently.



I used Agurie .22 ammo, nothing special.



Fits great with the Hogue over molded stock.



Worth every penny, wish I would have swapped barrels 20 years ago.

I took this barrel for its first real outing on a trip to shoot sage rats in southern Oregon. The barrel was incredibly accurate, and I had no problem all day shooting out to 150 yards. I even took a few out at 250 yard, once I managed to compensate for the drop, however windage was right on, and I got very consistent results when adjusting for elevation so I am going to say that this barrel is better than the shooter. And for the price, it would be just about impossible to beat!

I put this barrel in a brand new receiver with the BX-25 Ruger trigger. I also used a Boyd's rimfire thumb-hole stock. It is an incredibly accurate barrel/stock/trigger combination. Dime sized groups at 100 yards (10+ rounds). Everything I wanted and could not be happier. Every one that sees the spiral fluted barrel loves it. Good barrel, good price, excellent accuracy.



A friend took one look and wants me to build him one with the same barrel.

I replaced a factory target barrel that was sensative to ammo changes. (Cheap ammo just did not shoot well through the Ruger barrel). I put this barrel on and I am now getting 2 inch groups at 100 yards. I use the gun to target shoot as well as get rid of pest animals. In short, the barrel more that meets expectations for the price.

This barrel was v. easy to install, and has put new life into my trusty old Ruger.
I use CCI 22LR subsonic ammo, suppressor, Nikon Prostaff 22 rimfire BDC 150 scope, and Game Reaper mount.
It's a little heaver when walking around, but I'm confident to hit anything out to 120 meters with subs.

fantastic barrel. noticed a difference the first time I shot with it. best value for a great product if you want to trick out your gun.

Built a 10/22 using:

Timney 10/22 Drop-In Trigger Assembly 883-000-038WB -- great trigger, drop in with no fitting required. The lever magazine release is a great addition, helping with making the rifle a little more ambidextrous. The spring loaded bolt release works as we are accustomed to unlike the factory release. The trigger pull is crisp and clean reminiscent of the Jewel triggers on my 700. The trigger is a vast improvement over factory. 4 stars as the pull measured 3lbs on my Lyman gauge, preferred for hunting but as it is not adjustable I don't consider this a bench rest trigger.

ER Shaw Fluted 10/22 .920 Target Barrel, SS 100-004-747WB -- everything I was looking for. Looks great and shoots great. 1/2" groups at 75 yards on a 100 degree, 10 - 15 mph gusty day with 20 year old Remington Golden Bullet HP, very satisfying. The barrel dropped right into the action and was installed using the factory V-block without barrel droop. V-block barrel retaining screws were just snugged. Checked with a set of headspace gauges and everything was fine and good to go. A 5 star barrel for sure.

Hogue 10/22 Overmolded Rifle Stock B/B Rubber Covering 408-220-100WB -- The stock I wanted was out of stock so I got this one to do the build. I am liking it. Feels good in hand and on the shoulder. Ambidextrous! Bedding was accurate and felt solid. With the action screw torqued to 18 in-lbs the Shaw barrel was dollar bill free floated from 1" behind the flutes to the muzzle. The semi-varmint fore end is a joy in hand or on a bag. 4 Stars as the fore end will flex enough to touch the barrel with moderate straight line side hand pressure, a hasty sling or tight sling. Still I may well forget about the stock I wanted that cost 2-1/2 times as much, this one shoots and feels so good.

Volquartsen 10/22 Socket Head Takedown Screw 930-000-O26WB -- Comparing this screw to my factory screw it is about 2-1/2 threads shorter. However it fit this build just fine, earning it 5 Stars. It and the receiver handled 18 in-lbs of torque without problem.

Using this barrel for a 10/22 Carbine to Target rifle upgrade. Took a bit to get here but came in an awesome thick-walled cardboard tube. (I tried to order the same barrel from another vendor and had an empty, broken, thinwalled cardboard tube delivered to the house. Not good.) Bore looks perfect. Crown and breech look great too. Perfect blue-job. Can't wait to get this installed and send some down-range. Great job E R Shaw and Brownells!

I got this for a budget build 10/22 target/tactical for the wife. This barrel is 16 ½" long and very nice for a working man's price. I wish I bought 2 of them.

This barrel is great. A vast improvement over Ruger stock barrel and yet not at all ammo picky. In fact I was getting better 100 yard groups with Winchester Bulk 333 and Federal Bulk 525 packs than from my CCI Mini-Mag's, Aguila Match and Fiocchi Match Training. RWS Match, Fiocchi Exact Super Match and Eley Match were the tightest groups all sub MOA @ 100 but other than occasional flyer so where the bulk packs. Over 1500 rounds were put through this barrel in its first day out and I had one failure to feed, (Which was more likely the mags. fault) and two failures to fire (Both happened at the end of the day and during a rapid firing of 25 rd. mags. with bulk pack ammo). My friend has a much more expensive, longer and ammo picky barrel and when he shot 5-5 round groups at 50 and 5-5round groups at 100 with both guns using same ammo for each he had nearly identical groupings… all in all you can hit an acorn in an oak tree at 50 yards. I couldn't be happier

This is a heavy barrel. That said, I would not put this on a tactical or run and gun .22 or a pack gun. With my Tactical Solutions muzzle brake it added nearly 3.5 lbs over the stock barrel weight.

Great handling with this shorter version.
Fit and finish was perfect.
Very accurate 25 rounds inside a Quarter at 50 yards as fast as you can get on target likes remington golden bullets best.

Drop-in fit on my current generation receiver, top-notch finish, completely reliable with match ammo, and very accurate--one hole groups at 50 yards.
