Marlin 60(09.04.2010)
Perfect fit and operates like factory new. Thanks Brownells!
Cycling reliably once again.(15.08.2010)
I accidentally bent up the recoil spring on my Marlin 60, and it wouldn't cycle, requiring the use of the charging handle for each shot. I'm guessing, due to your interest in this part, you've done the same thing and/or have the same problem. Well, I can tell you that this replacement is doing the job for me. I've fired 100 rounds through it since the replacement without a single issue.
Five star quality, but that's not considering the price for this mere spring.
The spring itself has no problems, but the Marlin's design puts it at a vulnerable spot, so relatively, the spring is fragile. I suggest you either be very careful while reassembling your marlin with this replacement part, or you buy two of these springs, and still be careful.
Got it fast!(05.02.2013)
Mother-in-law gave my son her late husbands marlin 60. It hadn't been used in quite a while, and had a lot of gunk in the action. Found a website that showed how easy it was to take this gun down for cleaning. Didn't explain the best way to replace bolt and recoil spring so I Z-kinked it. Went to the brownells site ordered the part about 30 minutes before the start of the Superbowl. Here it is Tuesday evening and the spring is back in and son is happy. AWESOME! service on this order. I ordered 2 of them and used the regular shipping. (The best way I found to put the spring back in was to get as much of it on the rod as possible push the rest of the spring into the bolt then together place the rod in the socket, it snapped right in for me. Hope this helps. Could not be happier with Brownells.
New Spring(28.02.2013)
I have sent many thousands of rounds downrange with my old Model 60! When it finally began acting up (firing out of battery, stovepiping) after 30 years. Cleaning and oiling didn't help, so I knew parts were simply worn out. I replaced the stock spring with this one, and the stock spring was highly compressed. All together I replaced the recoil spring, the broken buffer, and a bent firing pin.....all for around $20! Hopefully my first childhood rifle will now be ready to run for several thousand more rounds!
Acts like new(10.02.2015)
Bought this spring to fix my 40 year old Marlin Model 60. This spring made the gun recoil/reloading action act just like new. I could not believe the difference that a new recoil spring made. The bolt runs more true and sounds more solid. This is a extra easy install.
Fast shipping and fits(19.02.2017)
Thank you Brownells. I was able to refresh an aging 22 my grandfather gave me when I was 13. Everything fit and works as good as new now!
