Allows Fast Cycling, Even When Wearing Gloves

Oval loop has plenty of room for shooters with large hands or those who operate their 1895s wearing gloves in cold weather. Precision, CNC machined and made thicker at critical stress points; heat-treated and hardened for reliable operation. Requires minor fitting. Stops the lever from whacking your knuckles.

SPECS: Carbon steel, blued, matte finish, or stainless steel (SS), natural finish. Loop - 3" (7.62cm) long, 2" (5cm) deep. 1895 - Fits Marlin 1895 pistol grip and Marlin 336 pistol grip .1895G - Fits Marlin 1895G and 1895M straight grip.

Better but not great (11.09.2013)

This loop is better than the original, but it is to deep. To much slop when levering it-even with gloves on. Had to do quite abit of filing to get it to work properly. Better but not great

An Excellent Upgrade! (27.12.2017)

I just installed this big loop lever on my Marlin model 1895M in .450 Marlin. I own one of the older guns in this caliber, and installation was a snap! It took less than 45 minutes.

I checked the new part's thicknesses with a micrometer and the new lever was virtually the same size as the factory piece. The new lever fit correctly and installed with ease. A very small punch is required to drive out the tiny retaining pin for the (spring loaded! be careful!) trigger plunger pin.

The big loop didn't come in dark blued steel like the factory lever, but it looks pretty cool as is.

I would recommend this big loop lever to anyone who is tired of bruised knuckles when shooting their guide gun.

Very easy to install with Brownells help page. Makes it a lot easier to work the lever with a glove on in cold weather. It fits better than the original Marlin lever.

Big Loop for Big Hand (23.10.2009)

The Wild West Big Loop lever works great and looks fantastic on my Marlin 1895G 45-70. Regardless of which gloves I wear (thick leather, cloth or mechanics type) the big loop makes operations simple and smooth. I did have to make some very minor fitting adjustments but it was not difficult at all. The big loop does not have the lever retrainer, spring or roll pin and the parts from the original lever can be removed and used on the big loop. However, I suggest a new retainer, spring and roll pin be purchased and installed. This will keep the original lever in operational readiness and easy to install if needed.
Good hunting and always remember the Duke's advice to be on target: Know your "Windage and Elevation"

A must for man hands! (04.04.2010)

I purchased this lever loop because the factory loop is way to small. Install was easy, if you can use a screwdriver you'll be just fine. I would highly recommend buying a new pin,spring and plunger. They are cheap and it will save you from trying to remove the factory one. The pin has a tab on it and it only goes in and out one way.

the fit is perfect.i have a marlin 1895m chambered in 450 marlin. i have had it for about 10 years trouble free.this past deer season it started acting up with the "marlin jam".i have always wanted the large loop lever because i am a big guy with big hands.i installed the large loop lever along with a new carrier and WOW what a difference.it is comfortable for big hands,works flawlessly and also looks great.i am extremely happy and recommend this product to anybody that has big hands or that likes the look of the large loop lever.i am not a gunsmith but this lever was very easy to change with minimal tools and about 10 minutes of your time.

Makes a big difference (20.04.2012)

Never did care for the narrow loop on my guide gun, especially with stout loads. The larger loop makes a big difference. Looks great on the rifle as well.

Required significant fitting (19.06.2013)

I was surprised how much fitting this required, given the rave reviews posted by others. Had to remove lots of metal near the rear locking lug. Must now reblue those areas. A five minute job turned into a two hour long affair (took my time removing metal so as to not remove too much at once). Looks nice once installed, but this was far from drop in.

Absolutely gorgeous--easy Install (23.07.2009)

I put this large loop on my Marlin 336. It adds an incredible look to the gun. Functions flawlessly. Install was a snap. I had it installed in less than 10 mins. That includes taking the old one off. I would highly recommend this to anyone wanting to add a large loop to their gun.

Improved function and easy install (09.10.2009)

Intalled on my Marlin Guide Gun in anticipation of a cold winter and gloved operation. One screw remove and install, transfer of lever plunger from old lever to new was a snap. New part went in and worked as installed. I cleaned up some roughness with a fine stone but this was preference, not a requirement. Matte finish matches matte finish of trigger guard plate.

Big Loop, a big advantage (03.04.2011)

With this loop in place, it will be easier to cycle your lever action. It looks great and is very helpful. Easy to install; remove one screw; remove old lever; swap the spring and latch out of your old lever; install and replace screw; enjoy!

LOOKS GOOD BUT NEEDED LOTS OF FITTING (31.07.2012)

I put the Big Loop in my made in 1982 Marlin 336 30-30. I was a little disapointed that it did not come with with the spring and plunger already installed, for what they cost I fell they should. It took alot of fitting to get it right which was another disapointment after reading all the reviews about how it just dropped right in. But, now that it's in my rifle it sure does look good.

Big loop on 336W (08.12.2012)

I purchased this big loop for cold weather hunting with gloves on. Took about 15 minutes to transfer the plunger and install on my 336W. My new loop required no fitting. My 336 now cycles easier and smoother than with original loop.

Great looking lever minor fitting (21.12.2012)

Highly recommend this marlin large looop lever from Wild West guns. It matched my new marlin 336 finish perfectly with the matt blue. It does need fitting but was easy enough to do and works alot better than the original Marlin lever.

Bad product don't buy (29.08.2016)

Didn't fit took it to gun Smith everything was to large have to file a lot off of course that will ruin the blue
