The Mil-Spec 7075-T6 aircraft aluminum Anti-tilt Buffer Tube uses "carrier cradle" extensions to ensure that the carrier is always supported by the buffer tube, even when the bolt is forward. This prevents carrier-tilt and premature wear on the buffer tube. Thusly, the buffer-detent button doulbles as a lock that stops the buffer tube from rotating and becoming loose under extreme operation conditions. POF's desigin also features three (3) extra drain holes for marine environments.

Inexpensive enhancment (21.10.2014)

I never cared for the interface between the buffer retainer pin and the receiver extension (buffer tube); it seemed more opportunistic than engineered . The POF anti tilt extension is a superior design, fully supporting the bolt carrier in the transition between the upper and lower receivers. It also fully captures the buffer retainer pin and fully fills the threaded portion of the lower receivers extension attachment. I believe this results in a stronger extension attachment to the lower receiver. Great product, will not build another AR without one.

Great upgrade to piston and DI ARs (06.11.2014)

I have a Ruger SR556 with about 5000 rounds through it was showing no sign of carrier tilt. But after reading some reviews of the POF anti tilt buffer tube I figured I'd buy one and figured I'd "rather be safe than sorry" and "prevention is the best medicine". The buffer tube is well made and designed. With the secondary lock, extra drainage, and anti tilt extension. My SR556 has never failed or tilt (that I noticed), but now I have the extra piece of mind of knowing that the hefty Ruger SR556 will have additional support from wear in the future. Also used the same lower with a DI 300 BLK OUT and the buffer tube caused no issues with a DI BCG.

Slight Problem (07.02.2015)

The anti-carrier tilt buffer tube works very nice, but I noticed one problem after I installed it and put the stock back on. The stock fits loosely on the buffer tube. My rifle is a Bushmaster XM-15 E2S M-4 style rifle and it's all mil-spec. The factory stock and the CAA Stock I replaced it with both fit snug on the factory buffer tube, but the POF buffer tube makes the stock fit so loosely it has a rattle to it. Has anyone else had this problem?

Great Buffer Tube (06.03.2016)

This is a very nice buffer tube. I like the features of the retaining pin acting as a secondary lock and the bolt carrier being supported. Fit great in a Spikes lower. I added a Magpul ACS-L stock and the fit is surprisingly tight, no wobble at all. It seemed too tight at first but has worn in perfectly.

BEST BUFFER TUBE I HAVE USED (29.03.2016)

I've built at least a dozen AR 15s, and I have tried about as many buffer tubes. I've stopped looking -- This one is the best. The anti-tilt / anti-rotation 'ears' that go around the buffer detent is the best thing I've ever seen for buffer tubes that support collapsible stocks. The fit and finish are excellent, and the thing is machined to perfection.

It's the most expensive buffer tube I've ever bought, but that's for good reason. In my honest opinion, it's the best out there.

Not to spec. (21.11.2016)

I bought this buffer tube here about 3 weeks ago, seemed like a good one based on other reviews and price. I recently installed it and took it to the range, with dismal results (see pic). After about 90-120 rounds the buffer tube experienced a complete malfunction, the back basically sheared off. It is obvious that this particular buffer tube was not manufactured to spec., or was made Friday at 5:00 p.m. This is one part on my rifle I never expected to have to replace.

My go-to buffer tube (06.01.2017)

Of four stripped lowers I have assembled, this is the buffer tube that I installed on all of them. The fit and finish is perfect and I have never had an issue with fitment of any stocks meant for a mil-spec sized tube. Buffer tube wear from carrier tilt is non-existent due to the back of the carrier resting on the "ears" that protrude on either side of the buffer detent pin. Looks great, works great, and I will continue to use them for future builds.

Best buffer tube (13.03.2018)

By far my favorite buffer tube. Flawless fit and finish and prevents carrier tilt. Whats not to like.

Poor quality (01.05.2018)

Just ordered one for a customer, I am thoroughly displeased with what arrived. The inside of the tube is very rough with chatter marks from poor machining and the outside of the tube has so many voids in the surface that it looks like a raisin. This should have been pulled by quality control and not shipped out.
