Big Dot Front Sight Puts You On Target Fast; Fully Adjustable Rear Sight For Improved Accuracy

High visibility sight combination easily replaces the factory sights on your AK-47 or variant for fast sight acquisition in high stress or low light conditions. Machined steel set includes an adjustable white stripe, V-notch rear sight and a genuine Trijicon brand titrium lamp with large white ring for the front. Front sight completely replaces the factory windage drum and front sight post. Large, single setscrew in the tangent rear sight provides fine adjustments for elevation; dual setscrews in the dovetailed rear V-notch block securely lock-in your windage settings. Includes installation tools, thread locking agent, and detailed instructions.

SPECS: Steel, black, matte finish. Front Sight - .160” (4.1mm) diameter white ring with .075” (1.9mm) diameter tritium lamp. Rear Sight - .140” (3.6mm) high vertical white stripe. Fits AK-47 and clones.

Best iron sight there is for the AK (16.01.2010)

Sight picture is fast to acquire in all conditions. Real made in the USA Trijicon tritium vial. Windage-adjustable rear sight is a nice feature, because it lets you center the front dot exactly for a better "caveman eotech" and adjust windage with the rear sight. Have a helpful friend, drill press or campy tool to help you with the rear sight.

A very capable sight (20.08.2010)

I installed this sight on two different AKs. One was a Romanian and the other a Bulgarian. The sight set as purchased was complete with everything I needed for installation except some common hand tools. It was well made and the instructions were clear and easy to follow. I had to use the included adhesive on one rifle to secure the windage drum in the front sight tower. It set up in about 10 minutes so I did not have to wait to finish the sight installation. I did wait 24 hrs before I shot the gun to allow the adhesive to cure completely. Rear sight installation took about a minute.
When zeroing the sight I found that the elevation screw would back out from the initial setting so I applied loctite to the screw and finished zeroing. While this sight is adjustable I would recommend picking one distance to zero at then locking the setting into the sight. You need the 2 supplied allen wrenches to make adjustments to the rear and it is not a quick process in the field. This sight gives an excellent sight picture. It is excellent for close range work and easy to pick up in cramped shooting positions. It is just not a sight for precision shooting. Do to the dot size you cover a large area at distance with the front sight. If more precision is needed I would recommend installing a red dot sight. My only complaint is I think the rear sight should also be tritium like the XS handgun sights. Overall a very nice sight and a huge improvement over the stock AK sights.
